TMJ Auctions, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), traces its roots to 1988, when Roy and Cheryl Vap founded T&J Enterprises in Red Cloud, Nebraska. Initially focused on production agriculture, cattle, and hay farming, the company grew over the years by marketing equipment locally and regionally, adapting to the evolving needs of the agricultural industry.

In 2008, Roy embraced the digital age, using online platforms to market equipment more efficiently. In 2015, he launched the auction division powered by AuctionTime.com, expanding the business’s reach globally and creating new opportunities to maximize value for clients in the heavy-duty truck, trailer, construction machinery, service vehicle, and farm/ag equipment sectors.

In 2015, alongside the launch of the auction division, Torrey retired from nearly 24 years of military service and took on the challenge of expanding the business into the Southeastern United States. In 2020, the family welcomed Mistie and her husband Mitch, who brought over 40 years of combined experience in retail, insurance, and government service. This partnership marked the rebranding of T&J Enterprises as TMJ Enterprises (DBA TMJ Auctions).

In 2022, Jeff, who has over 20 years of expertise in agriculture, retail sales, and distribution, moved into a full-time role. Later that year, Torrey launched TMJ Auctions as a stand-alone SDVOSB Auction House in Florida. With Torrey as the “T,” Mistie and Mitch as the “M,” and Jeff as the “J,” the family has solidified its commitment to delivering excellent service and maximizing client success.
